Career counseling

Counselling center BUT offers students at Brno University of Technology assistance with career choice, career planning and management, overcoming internal barriers to career decisions, and job search advice.

During an individual career consultation, you can come to discuss the following:

• CV and cover letter (for the Czech job market)
• Interview preparation and process
• Issues related to Assessment Centers and psychological diagnostics
• Questions regarding your career decision-making
• Referral to additional services in Brno

What if you can't attend?

Sometimes, due to a fever or an urgent family matter, you may not be able to attend. If so, please inform the counselor you have an appointment with, ideally 48 hours in advance, and at the latest 24 hours prior. If you fail to cancel and do not attend the scheduled consultation, we will no longer be able to offer you another appointment.

Conditions

Career counseling is completely free for students of Brno University of Technology.

Consultation hours for career counseling are not fixed; they are arranged individually. Consultations typically last 50 minutes.

To make more effective use of the time available to each student, we recommend sending your CV (and possibly a cover letter) to the career counselors in advance, as well as an outline of the issues you would like to address.
